Ever wonder if personal training is better than just getting shape on your own or starting yoga or joining a volleyball league?
Well, if you have, you’re not alone.
Is Personal Training Better Than Other Physical Activities?
Absolutely! It’s definitely better!
There are many reasons for this but we’ll touch on a few key ones here today.
First, Personal Training is Progressive
If you participate in a yoga class, make sure you continue to challenge yourself. Otherwise, you will stagnate. With training, this is far less likely to happen and by using resistance, it’s much easier to make things more challenging. You simply add weight, balance or other challenges and with the snap of the finger, you get in better shape. This is called a progressive program.
It’s incredibly effective and will continue to make you fitter until you’re satisfied.
Second, Personal Training is Professionally Guided
Many of my clients know the exercises and the stretches, they just need a little guidance in putting them together and tweaking them. This is the special fitness sauce a trainer brings to the table.
It’s really hard to figure out that secret sauce on your own especially if you’re not trained in the field. Some clients need to eat more, others need to eat less. Certain clients need to lift heavier and others need to lift less. Everybody’s different and individual guided training will get you the right protocols for you.
This is what will make YOU thrive!
Third, Personal Training is Adaptable
If you join a volleyball league and get injured or want to play harder or need specific training, it may be tough to adapt the volleyball league to meet your needs. With training, we can change your routine immediately to suit your new needs. If you tweak an ankle, we can modify your routine. If you need more challenges or strength in an area, the routine can be changed instantly.
This is a really special aspect of personal training that is rarely noted by outsiders. Clients benefit greatly from always having a shoe that fits with their health and fitness program.
Try Some Personal Training
So yes, personal training can be a really awesome physical activity. With the use of weights, progressive and personalized training, it’s one of the best things you can do for your body and mind.
Other activities are great too for that matter but training is definitely a life changing experience.
We highly recommend it!
